El Eden Restaurant & Lounge: Reviews & Ratings
Okay so here me out, this is the ultimate mom and pop hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant. It’s small, it’s tight and it’s hidden but the food is excellent. They’ve got all the Mexican staples and having tried a variety of things I’ll tell you that the birria is above average, the quesadilla is a steal for $10, but the hidden gem is the nachos and the free salsa they give you. I don’t know how they make these but they shouldn’t be free. Make sure to check this place out.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “An amazing experience at El Eden Mexican Restaurant The food is absolutely delicious, full of authentic Mexican flavor, and the portions are generous. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive staff made the night even better. Definitely a place I’ll come back to again and again.”
Really enjoyed the veggie sopes here! The complimentary tortilla chips and salsa were also very good. Glad a place like this exists nearby Finch West station.
This restaurant is a HIDDEN GEM in North York. The AUTHENTIC MEXICAN food was OUTSTANDING. The atmosphere inviting and comfortable. We had the Quesa Birria and it was so deliciously flavourable and the portion was large. We also had the Flautas and were so satisfied with the crunchy treat and the toppings. The restaurant is a MUST do if you like the real Mexican flavours and vibe. Ive eaten at many Mexican restaurants over the years and in Mexico as well...this food was the REAL DEAL!!! Satisfying and I can hardly wait to go back. Do yourself a favour and visit at 1270 Finch Ave in North York.
Quesadilla was a little salty. Not sure why the menu says it’s $10 and the restaurant said it’s not and I was charged accordingly. I would still like to go back to try other items. Cute inside.
My son and I leave Chesswood after a last second tie and we are starving (not really but we’re hungry). Google Maps recommends a highly-rated chicken joint. We go there. It literally didn't exist anymore. Fantastic. So now I’m kinda pissed off and then I see El Eden. A perfect 5-star rating. I’ve never seen a 5-star rating. I look at Jake and say, "If this isn’t good, we are never trusting Google again. We walk in and instantly I know we’re in for a treat. It was a very simple place felt like you walked into someone’s living room. Kids running around grandma and grandpa watching a soccer game. I knew the food was gonna be amazing. No nonsense. Just dad/chef back there cooking the real shit. The birrias queso are too hard to describe because words just don’t have the gravitas needed to describe what my taste buds did. We ordered the queso burritos and some tacos and they were all amazing but while we were eating, we saw a dish on the other table and even though we were pretty full, we said can we have some of those too? Sopes. My first Sopes. Yup, to die for. Hands down the best Mexican food in Toronto. It wasn't 5 stars. It was 10. If you don't like this place, you don't have taste buds that work. I’m going back because they showed me a picture of a new dish they’re rolling out soon. I can’t remember what it’s called, but it ends with the words Del Rey. Just a big bowl filled with shrimp, chicken, steak, cactus and onions with melted cheese and a pico de gallo. I saw the picture after eating way too much food and I still salivated. You know when you have a meal and It’s so good and like 45 minutes later you burp a little and you get to go back there in your mind and your whole body feels joy? That’s El Eden.
Excellent service, The food is very tasty so I don't miss my country so much.
Great experience! Before coming in I had no idea there was so much free food! It was my grandma's birthday so her pulled pork tacos were free, and we got a free cake / drink for international women's day! The place had a great ambience and Mexican decorations. The owner is very friendly and welcoming too :)
